- Welcome New Stroke & Turn Judges
Good evening and THANK YOU for volunteering this season as a Manta Rays Stroke & Turn Judge!! This is an important role on our swim team and we are always looking for new volunteers. It’s one of the better viewing jobs since you’re on deck already :)
All S&T Judges are required to attend a clinic before each swim season starts. The first time you take the clinic, it is 2 hours. The annual refresher courses are only one hour long. This clinic will give you the knowledge and what to look for in accurate strokes along with any MSSL changes from the previous year.
While we try to keep to our 3 volunteer job goal for everyone, all S&T judges are asked to come to all meets in uniform with required badges in case we need someone to fill in or help with relays.
Below are the upcoming S&T Clinics. All clinics (1-3) are the same and you only need to attend one, not all three. The poolside clinic is optional but could be very helpful to new S&T judges. Please let me know the date you will be attending and if it changes for any reason.
Thanks,
Jennifer
Manta Rays Volunteer Coordinator
