Manta Ray Families, we have one more kick and one more pull to go!! Attached are the events your swimmer will be competing in for Champs. This is the big one!!
Reminders about the Championship Meet on Saturday at Palo Alto (this is NOT where we swam last year):
- Attaching information from the league - please read (has driving directions and lots of information) and click on the link in the document to see a map of the campus and location of the pool/parking -- please allow about 40 min to get down there.
- Check in at 7:30 am (parents will be set up outside with check in strips), Warm-up from 8:00 - 9:00 am, Meet starts at 9:15 am
- Meet runs in 2 pools -- You will want to print a heat sheet (attached) to keep up with this meet. Since the meet is running in 2 lanes, the events will skip around and the heat sheet is a must to follow along.
- Concession stand is cash only (please bring small bills $1 and $5) - No outside food allowed
- No chairs or ice chest allowed - the pool is indoors, bleacher seating
- Swimmers will be sitting together in our designated area (west side), parents will be sitting on the other side in the parent area (east side). Meet will run in the North and South pools.
- DO NOT park on the grass or be prepared to be towed! Please park only in paved lots.
Monday around noon (6/27) - look for an email for our all-star qualifiers. All -star qualifiers will attend a practice Monday afternoon 6/27 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Claudia will send out an email with qualifiers and exact practice times/groups on Monday.
All-Star Meet Qualifiers: The 1st place winner for individual and relay events from each Division qualifies for the All-Star Meet. The next four (4) fastest times from any of the four (4) divisions makes up the remaining heat of swimmers. If a swimmer cannot attend the All-Star Meet, the lane remains empty. At least 3 out of the 4 placing swimmers on relay team must swim at the All-Star Meet or the lane remains empty.
Tuesday (6/28) - All Stars meet - qualifying swimmers will be sent an email with more information. Location: Wildhorse Pool, 9700 Mustang Gate, San Antonio, TX 78254, Check in: 4:00 pm. We will need timers and stroke and turn judges for this meet.
Wednesday (6/29) - 5:30 - 8:00 pm - End of season party -- dinner served for the entire family -- we are asking that you please RSVP for this event with the number of people attending. Dinner will consist of pasta, pizza, salads, desserts and drinks. Mandy has some fun things planned.
