    READ MEET 3 - Info & Heat Sheet

    Manta Rays,

    Thanks for a great night!  BIG THANKS to Mandy for coordinating dinner tonight!  BIG THANKS to Adam Howland and Ryan Harris for cooking hotdogs!  Hope all families had a fun time and had a chance to get to know other families on our team.  Get some rest for the meet.

    3rd Meet: Monday, June 13th    

    Where: 106 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006 (I plan on going up 281 and then west on Hwy 46) Directions

    Opposing Team: Boerne Barracudas 

     

    Check in: 4:15 pm 

    Warm up for Manta Rays: 4:45 pm to 5:15 pm

    Meet starts: 5:30 pm sharp!

     

    ** If you do not check in, we do not know you are at the meet & your swimmer will be scratched from his/her events! Please make sure you check in at the check in tables!

    ** Please check your check-in slip for hand written changes.  

    ** ALL parents, please make sure you also check in with our volunteer coordinator, Jennifer Bissen (will be at the check in table), to let her know you are here, to see if there are any open spots you can help with or if we needed to move you to a different volunteer spot.

     

    Where to sit: Reminder -- we make every effort to sit as a team.  When you walk in, our team will sit to the left.  Bring chairs and pop up tents.  When your swimmer is getting ready to swim, please walk up to pool deck to watch themRestrooms/locker rooms are available to the right of the main pool entrance.

    Ready Bench: Located near start end.  Please be aware of which event we are on and help swimmers know when they should be at ready bench.​    Please remind your swimmers to show good sportsmanship to teammates and the visiting team!

    Concessions: available  (please bring small bills - $1 and $5 are great!)

    Heat Sheet:  Attached (scroll all the way down if on phone).  Print at home and bring with you.

    Emergency: Please call/text Kelly at (210)316-9086 or Mandy at (210) 260-0004. We will get word to Coach Claudia and all necessary meet personnel.

    What to bring: Please remember to bring chairs and pop up tents for shade.  May also want to bring some bug spray.  There is a list on the website of items needed for a meet. Click on Swim Meets, Preparing for a Meet -- this would be good for EVERYONE to review! **Reminder: baby pool is CLOSED during swim meets.

    Special Notes about this pool:  This is a 25 meter pool (longer than the Seven Winds Pool - 25 yards), so you will see longer times than normal.  Keep that in mind when comparing times between meets.  When I send results, the times will be converted (so will NOT match the times on the timer sheets).   

    Other Reminders:

    • If your swimmers are in events 1-4, please make sure they are at ready bench immediately following team cheer! 
    • We have a lot of new families, so please step up and help if you see someone struggling or looking lost! We are a team and a family, it takes all of us to make these meets happen!  
    • Please show our wonderful Manta Rays sportsmanship with the opposing team!
    • Most of all have fun and enjoy the meet! We are glad to have you all as part of the Manta Rays Family!
    • LANE LINE UP & READY BENCH -- You will need a PRINTED COPY of the heat sheet to use during your volunteer time -- I will have clipboards.
