    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SATURDAY's MEET: (1) TIMER - 1ST HALF, (1) TIMER 2ND HALF, (1) HEAD TIMER - 1ST HALF, (1) HEAD TIMER - 2ND HALF. Please email Jennifer Bissen if you can help with any of these positions. [email protected]​​

    • Friday May 27 - Look for & READ email with heat sheet and info about Saturday's meet. Check in is at 7:10 am for Saturday's meet.  Meet is at Alamo Height's Pool (250 Viesca Street SA, TX 78209) - around Quarry Market area
    • Saturday May 28 - Away Meet against Alamo Heights 7:10 am check in
    • Monday May 30 - Memorial Day - MORNING PRACTICE 
      • 8:30 – 9:00 am      Group 1   
        9:00 – 9:45 am      Group 2
        9:45 – 10:30 am    Group 3
        10:30 – 11:30 am  Group 4   
        11:30 – 12:30 pm  Group 5
    • Tuesday May 31 - Last day to declare if missing Meet #2 - Home Meet on June 6th
    • Thursday June 2  - Manta Rays Munchies - Last day of school :)
    • Friday June 3 - MORNING Practice -- new practice schedule starts 
      • Tuesday and Thursday - afternoon 
      • Wednesday/Friday - morning
      • No Monday practice after June 3 because of Monday meets

      • You can always see your volunteer positions by going to the website  http://mountainlodgemantarays.swim-team.us/
      • Sign in at the top right using your email and password: swim2fast
      • Click on Swim Meets
      • Any of the V with a green circle means you are signed up to work that meet
      • OR sign in, go to action, parent page, and click the drop down arrow by volunteer for a list
      • Any changes to volunteer positions need to go through Jennifer Bissen, volunteer coordinator.  [email protected]

    Tuesday's Recap:

    • Preparing for a Meet - this is the document Kelly mentioned on Tuesday - also has general descriptions of volunteer positions and ready bench info.  This document can also be found on our website under swim meets - attached/please read
    • LABEL EVERYTHING: Please label your swimmer's name in their t-shirt, on their bag, on the water bottle, on their swim cap -- lots of items get left, please label everything so it can be returned.
    • Read email with Meet Info, Print Heat Sheet - sent the day before a meet
    • Be on time -- text Kelly 21-316-9086 if you are running late or have a sick swimmer (No Shows at meets will not be entered into relays the next meet, 2 no shows will not be entered into any meets for the remainder of the season and will be wait listed next season)
    • Team sits together at meets 
    • NO KIDS IN THE BABY POOL
    • Girls and boys with long hair must wear swim caps - league rules
    • After warm-up, swimmers will meet coaches at ready bench for team cheer, relay changes, events 1-4 will go to ready bench to line up
    • White board -- look for a person walking with white board that tells which events are lining up.  Send swimmer with cap and goggles to ready bench.  
    • Please stay and cheer on free relays at the end of the meet -- if you have to leave early - please check with Coach Claudia before leaving to make sure your swimmer was not entered into a relay at the end of meet
    • Pick up all your trash and belonging at the end of the meet -- check and double check your area
    • Ribbons will be in family folder a couple days after the meet.  Results will be emailed.
    • Seasoned parents please help new parents with any questions (especially how to read a heat sheet and how to mark the swimmer's arm/leg).

    • DADS NEEDED: I need a dad or 2 to help with the following:
      • Transport and set up the 5 pop up tents for the June 6 meet - need to get from storage, take and help set up at meets, then take down at the end of meet and either store in your garage or you can take back to storage unit for the next meet
      • Spray the hill and small grass area at the Seven Wind's Pool for ants a day or two before our June 6th meet -- team will reimburse you for the ant killer (just provide a receipt) 
    • ​​BIG THANKS to Mandy Howland who spear headed the designs and materials for this year's spirit items!  Lots of time and effort went in to making our Manta Ray's look great!  Can't wait until our first night meet ;)

    PUPS - Reminder that Pups will begin practice on June 7th.  

    • Practice on Wednesday/ Friday  12:30 - 1:00 pm
    • Practice on Tuesday/Thursday 4:00 - 4:30 pm​
