Manta Ray Families, due to the weather, practice for today is canceled. We had a great outcome yesterday timing new swimmers.   With their times, it's easier for me to work on Meet entries for dual meets.  If your swimmer didn't come yesterday, I will time him/her during practice another day.

I just want to clarify a point, I had swimmers come up to me and ask me if they made the team or not.  Everybody registered is part of the Manta Ray Family, we all are part of the team. The only thing we want to remind you is we have 2 different rosters:
 
     Learn to Swim / Non Competitive - for swimmers that can't swim the length of the pool unassisted.
     Competitive - Swimmers that can swim the length of the pool without help.
 
I will let you know towards the end of this week which swimmers will be on the learn to swim/non competitive roster.  We are going to keep on working with your swimmers to help everyone improve and become stronger swimmers this season.

 

All swimmers are required to wear a team swimsuit during the meets.  All girls and boys with long hair are required to wear a green or team swim cap.  Swim cap is optional for boys with short hair.  If you were unable to attend yesterday's practice and purchase a team suit, you will need to go to D&J sports located at 6413 Blanco Road San Antonio, TX 78216.  Phone number: 210-366-9388.  Store hours are Monday - Friday 10 am - 6 pm, Saturday 10 am - 3 pm*.  Some of the locations are closed on Saturdays due to swim meets - please call ahead!  Please mention you are with the Mountain Lodge Manta Rays.

 

If your swimmer has a TAGS or sectional time, please let Kelly Hunt or I know by Thursday 5/16.   If a TAGS/SECTIONAL time is achieved during a USA Sanctioned Meet before or during the MSSL Season, it is the responsibility of the swimmer and/or parent to inform team reps/coaches as soon as time is achieved, who will in turn notify the League President.
