2014 Swim Season
I hope everyone is having a fantastic school year! We are already starting to plan for the 2014 swim season. I wanted to update you on a few items:
- Team Manager, Assistant Manager, and Treasurer – There have been a few changes to the board for the 2014 season. Brooke Miller has decided to take a break from the big job of being team manager this upcoming season. Please give Brooke a BIG THANKS for her years of dedication and leadership of our team! Kelly Hunt will be moving from the role of assistant manager to the role of team manager. Erin Kirwan will be filling the role of assistant manager. Alana Harris will be our treasurer this season. Please give Cynthia Boales a BIG THANKS for all her hard work as treasurer last season!
- Online registration – Please help us save paper, time, and money and register online at http://mountainlodgemantarays.swim-team.us between April 1 and April 11. You will be able to enter all your information, swimmer information, order parent t-shirts, championship t-shirts, swim cap with Manta Rays logo, and sign up for volunteer positions. In person pool registration dates are April 12th from 11am – 1 pm and April 13th from 3pm – 5pm.
- REDUCED fees for swimmers ages 13 – 18 – we have seen a decrease in swimmers ages 13-18 in the last couple of seasons. We are reducing the rate to $65 for swimmers 13 – 18 years old in an effort to obtain and retain more swimmers in that age group. If you have a swimmer ages 13 – 18, please have them encourage their friends to join the swim team!
- Fees for 2014 :
The fees for swimmers ages 13 - 18 are $65.
The fees for swimmers under the age of 13 are as follows:
• First swimmer in the family $130.00
• Second Swimmer in the family $120.00
• Third Swimmer in the family $100.00
• Fourth Swimmer in the family $100.00
** The fees for current year around swimmers are $75 (*required signature from current year around swim coach, must commit to a minimum of 2 dual meets and the championship meet to swim at the reduced price, Coach Claudia prefers for year around swimmers to attend at least 1 practice a week).
- Volunteers Needed – we are in need of one or two people to head sponsorship/fundraiser coordinator and a few more stroke and turn judges. If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Kelly Hunt at [email protected] for more information.
- Meet Dates (mark your calendar) - Saturday May 31 (away meet), Monday June 9 (home meet), Monday June 16 (home meet), Saturday June 21(away), June 28 - 29 (championship meet weekend - away), Tuesday July 1 (All stars - away)
