Manta Ray Swimmers and Families,

Due to the different set up at the SV High School pool, we will be making a few modifications to our Ready Bench procedure - how we get kids to the starting blocks for their events.  All Manta Ray Swimmers and families are asked to sit on HALF of the tennis courts. We will have this area marked for swimmers.   Please try to sit with your age group as best possible in this area.  If you have a shade tent not being used, please bring it as there is no shade in this area.  Bring something to sit on - the courts will likely be hot.  Bring a book, DS, cards, paper to play hangman, string to make bracelets, whatever your children can do to keep busy as they will be asked to stay on the tennis courts unless they are swimming or need to use the restroom.  The Manta Ray Ready Bench will be located near the starting blocks at the pool, which is a slight walk from the tennis courts.  For this reason, it is important to pay close attention to the white board and Ready Bench volunteers "calling" your heat or event to be walked to the Ready Bench.  We will have volunteers escorting the smaller children to the Ready Bench.  (Our Ready Bench, RB runners/escorts, and parent with the white board will be communicating with walkie talkies to know what event to call).   There is expected to also be a PA system or some kind of amplification system in place announcing the CURRENT event being swum - in place of - or in case you cannot see - the event board.  Please pay close attention to the Manta Ray White Board and your Ready Bench Volunteers.

There will be a roped off area outside the fenced pool and on the upper observation deck for parents to view their swimmers during events.  Only officials, coaches, swimmers, timers, ready bench volunteers are allowed inside the fenced pool area.  All parents that are not helping in this capacity are asked to view the meet from outside the fenced pool area or from the observation deck.
